What To Wear When Traveling Home This Holiday Season

With Thanksgiving next week, many people will be heading to the airport, or packing up their car for a roadtrip to visit family. Dressing kind of cute and comfy is important to me, and probably you too, right? I’m only heading 45 minutes south to stay with my parents, but you guessed it, I’ll be wearing leggings anyway. This is a variation of my usual travel outfit, jeans oversized top and denim or leather jacket. Things have changed though you guys. I discovered these Spanx faux leather leggings and they may be the best travel leggings ever.

I’ve been kind of anti faux leather leggings for years. I didn’t think I was maybe thin enough, or cool enough to wear them. After chatting with my friend Ashley about them, who swore these were the greatest things on the planet, I decided to give them a try.  I put them on and really did love them. Once I added the right sweater and accessories, I knew these would be a favorite.

I do have a few tips on making sure you look your best in faux leather leggings. First, be sure to get the right size. I did a medium in them for size reference. They’re very forgiving and comfortable, but if they’re too tight, they won’t be flattering.  Also, make sure your top covers your butt and Britney. You read that right. I think there’s nothing worse than seeing someone’s ass cheeks when they’re wearing leggings. They aren’t pants, they’re leggings. There’s a BIG difference. Unless your a tall gorgeous model, stick to the rules, k?
