Last year I picked up this faux fur coat that I honestly purchased on a whim. It was so not something I was looking for or thought I even needed. But I stumbled onto it in the store and just had to try it on. Ever since, it’s been a closet favorite for fall and winter. Now that I know I love a faux fur jacket, I had to grab this under $100 one from Shopbop.

Why I Love Faux Fur Coats

One, they’re insanely cozy and soft. You just want to cozy up in it. No matter how dressed up you are, you always just feel cozy and warm.

Two, it’s better than REAL fur. I do not believe in buying real fur coats. I think it is simply the grossest thing to buy. It’s bad enough we buy leather and eat animals and all of that. But if there’s one thing I would never, it’s buy a fur coat.

Three, they feel and look luxurious (usually). Yes, some look terrible, but I feel like they’ve gotten MUCH better in recent years. The price point isn’t insane anymore and they look really great. Whether you grab a solid more neutral one or go bold with a print, they look amazing and make a statement.

You make leopard print look SO chic, Jessica! Thanks for sharing these affordable options, too. I can usually spend up to $150 on one single coat for the fall and now I have some great choices. Have a great Monday!
