One thing that instantly transformed my dining room space was adding a modern pendant light. By taking out my old yellow tinted iron chandelier to this simple one, made all the difference. It was such an easy (and affordable) swap that helped to make my home feel more modern, unique and put together. It didnt take me long to find something I loved. Pendant lighting is everywhere and so affordable. I think a lot of people don’t think to switch out lighting in their home. Maybe it’s intimidating, potentially expensive, but it isn’t. Or at least it doesn’t have to be. It’s something that you can do yourself (hello easy DIY!) and when you shop around for the right piece at the right price, you’ll feel like a home decor maven. And my favorite perk? Store your old light fixture so when you move you can take your new favorite with you. Or do what I did, and sell it on Craigslist to pay for the new one. The latter is my favorite thing to do.
Something all of these pendant lights have in common are that they’re fairly simple. Sure they may pack a big design punch, but they aren’t overwhelming and definitely aren’t massive. If you’re in need of a little additional lighting in your space as well, pendant lighting is a great way to add light in the corner instead of using a lamp. They can offer more light and more of a statement without taking up precious real estate either.
