One thing I am definitely not and don’t ever claim to be, is a minimalist. I envy those who are. Ones who get away with just jeans and a white tee and look effortless yet chic. Those who have a few simple things in their home that makes it feel clean and simple. My house is full of shit. So many things. I have trinkets, flowers, boxes, trays and then some. I don’t know how one accomplishes the minimalist look without it looking like no one lives there. Just enough stuff to feel like there’s a home, now that, that I want to figure out how to do.

So in order to get inspired, today’s Friday Furnishings post is all about minimalist bedroom inspiration. Maybe I’ll just start selling everything and eventually, whatever doesn’t sell, will be enough. Sounds like a good plan, right? I think keeping a monochromatic color scheme is helpful for one. But also only incorporating lightweight furniture and simple accents is a great place to start.

I love the minimalist look! It’s something that we’re striving for in our lives… which is so hard with kids!
