Happy Monday, friends! I’ve been out all weekend exploring Stowe Vermont with my bestie travel friend. I’ll share more about the whole trip and what sparked us to book a last minute trip to the coldest damn state in the country. But I wanted to share one of my looks from the weekend as it’s a personal favorite! I feel like I finally got the winter layered look down just right. Because let’s be honest, there’s definitely a way to layer the right way in winter without adding a ton of bulk!
On our last full day we had a full schedule of fun things to do. We started with a great breakfast at our hotel, Edson Hill, shot with the most adorable photographer in the area (y’all she has an Icelandic horse), did some snowshoeing, then visited a brewery and had an amazing dinner. I ended up wearing this look in the morning, and after snowshoeing for our dinner plans. It was the perfect winter layered look. I don’t have a ton of warm coats, just this one and this one. But I LIVE in those two coats. So I decided to pack this light Abercrombie & Fitch puffer which is great for layering, and topped it with my Old Navy toggle peacoat (here’s a similar and likely WAY more warm version here).
With a cozy sweater, neck scarf and my go to boots, this was one warm look that also felt super stylish. I added a beanie and matching gloves (on major sale too here) to add some extra warmth. And I mean, when was the last time you wore mittens like that?! I just love them, they’re so fun!
PS I’ll be sharing a full guide to what we did, where we ate and all the fun things. I feel like we did SO much in our short time there. Be sure to check back all week long for more Vermont style.
