Call us basic, but riding around on a mint bike with flowers in your basket is the only way to live people. This was my preferred mode of transportation while in Charleston a few weeks ago. We did take these bicycles out all the way to Leon’s one day to meet up with our friend Kristin who recently moved to Charleston. It was a bit of a ride from our hotel, but worth it. We worked up an appetite, devoured oysters and frozen gin and tonics while catching up. Kind of the perfect afternoon, right? Hard to not have those while in the Holy City.

If you remember from last year’s visit, this peach house and cute flower basket are hands down one of my favorites in downtown Charleston. I’m usually partial to a blue or pink house, but this peach one just makes me just as happy. Really, all the houses in downtown Charleston instantly put a smile on my face.  Last week you saw anther look that I wore while riding around in Charleston on my bicycle. Sure, wedges may not be the preferred shoe on a bike, but it was actually quite comfortable. If you ask me though this is the right way to dress for a day on a bike. Chucks, jeans and a simple cotton top.

PS this checkered shirt also comes in a dress with the same fabric. I’m in love with it and you got a sneak peek of the look over on Instagram here. Will be sharing the full outfit soon!

I would say riding a mint bike definitely seems like the only way to do Charleston right. These are great photos and I love the casual outfit!
