I think I’ve officially given up on sprucing up my patio. Living in a high rise, with a cement patio, it’s not the most exciting thing to decorate. I tried though. This little bistro set is on my patio, but I rarely ever use it. There may also be a bike from middle school out there that’s totally rusted and needs to be tossed. To be honest, I mostly want a house for a few simple reasons. One, for Pork to have a yard and be able to sun herself whenever she wants. A bigger closet and an official office. And lastly, to have an outdoor space to have friends over and a garden. But with my cement high rise patio, not much of that is happening anytime soon.
Since outdoor furniture easily gets destroyed, weathered down and honestly doesn’t get used enough, I wanted to round up some really budget friendly patio finds to elevate your space. Whether you want to add a conversation set to your high rise patio, or include some ambient lighting to your backyard, I’ve got you covered today. Inspired by Emily Henderson’s perfect patio above (PS she’s like my FAV) you’d be surprised how easy it can be to transform and elevate your outdoor space without spending a ton of money. Here’s how to do it.
Budget Friendly Patio Finds To Elevate Your Space
1. Southport Patio Set
The perfect little conversation set that’s super on trend. The wicker detailing and mid-century vibe makes this the perfect piece to instantly transform your space.
2. Fisher Patio Bench
A bench is a great way to add additional space or spruce up a boring wall. Add some pillows and a few planters or lanterns on the side for the sweetest little seating vignette. I also am kind of in love with this blue slate color. The price tag is even better; it’s under $100.
3. String Lights
For ideal ambient lighting, add some pretty string lights. These gold ones also come in black and I just love the shape of them. It’s a fun update to the classic round bulbs you see everywhere.
If you’ve got a great space, why not add some serious relaxation with a hammock? I love the idea of one of these as they instantly make you feel like you’re on vacation. These are ideal for big backyards to help extend your entertaining space.
5. Vernazza Chair Set
I may be a little partial to this one because of the name, Vernazza. Fun fact that’s where my Dad’s side of the family is from in Italy. But, it’s still a really beautiful chair and comes in a set of two. These would be great to add to your space in addition to a dining set for added seating for guests.
6. Staton Wood Bistro Set
A bistro set is a great way to instantly turn your patio or deck into an oasis. It comes with the essentials and all you have to do is add a little decor. The concrete table top is a fun modern touch.
7. Dot Outdoor Rug
Already have a bistro set and just need a quick fix? This is the best way to do it, with a rug! An outdoor rug is great as it holds up to the weather and you don’t have to worry about it. This quick and easy update will make your space feel instantly elevated and pulled together without spending much money.
Now that you’ve got some great furniture, add some color and texture with pillows. They’re so affordable and will quickly make your outdoor space feel like a true extension of your home. I always recommend keeping your home decor style in mind when decorating your patio to ensure it all flows perfectly and pillows help to do just that.
9. Bar Cart
Transform your space into the ultimate entertaining destination by adding a bar cart. This piece of furniture always seems to instantly indicate a good time. Add your favorite cocktail mixers, glassware and more to be prepared for your next party.
