Bucket List

Paris locks of love bridge via @mystylevita

I’ve been doing quite a bit of traveling for my day job. From fun and exciting places like Miami, Vegas and LA, to the not so glamorous, Charlottesville Virginia, Shelby North Carolina and more.  I’ve been fortunate enough to go to a few places in Italy, been to Paris (but need to go back since 36 hours and most of those asleep, I didn’t get enough of it!) and London. That’s definitely more than a lot of people can say which makes me feel very lucky.  But then I look at some of my friends who live overseas (talking to you Vicky!) and my gal Lisa of Pink Heals who has road tripped to places I didn’t even know existed. It’s people like them who inspire me to keep traveling, keep going and keep checking things off my bucket list.

I’m guilty of thinking buying new things will make me happy and feel fulfilled but deep down. I know that’s not true (although I do love my new West Elm end table, just saying) but it’s a quick fix sometimes. So while chatting with Lisa a few days ago about traveling and how my business travel isn’t checking off any bucket list items, she encouraged me to start a Pinterest board. Just like outfits and recipes I want to try, why not put all the places I want to visit in front of me to remind myself that they need to be done. I’m still adding to this list and hoping to check a few things off in the coming months like San Francisco and Napa, or maybe Austin and finally seeing Marfa.

So what’s on your bucket list? Where do you want to go, see or do?

Road trips are so fun! I live in Las Vegas and my fiancé is in the Air Force, so we won’t be here more than four years, but I have a road trip bucket list since there are so many destinations just a few hours away. Antelope Canyon in Arizona and Zion National Park in Utah have been some of my favorite destinations! Next up is LA!

Antelope and Zion are both incredible! (And Horseshoe Bend is a must see near Antelope)

Paris is definitely on my bucket list, as is Mystic, Connecticut and a few other very random places. I have a travel board, but maybe I need to spend a bit more time looking at it.

Great idea! I want to visit as many islands as possible. Also, I would love to explore South America.

    Happy Tuesday 🙂

Being from the Midwest and having family on the West Coast, I’ve never really had a chance to explore the East Coast or the South! Those are on my bucket list!

I also went to Copenhagen on a Europe trip last year and absolutely fell in love. I highly recommend going there in the summer. It’s so so lovely.
