Since we’re in full fall mode, I instantly start to think of more earth tones not only for my closet, but for the home. It’s a cozier set of hues that make you want to curl up with a warm cup of tea under a blanket and let the cool crisp air in from the crack of your window. So for today’s Friday Furnishings, I wanted to share some inspiring spaces that take brown furniture to a whole new level. I think this color is totally having a moment right now thanks to all the mid-century items you can now easily find from West Elm to Target. I particularly love the brown velvet chair in the 2nd to last photo.  It’s luxurious and modern looking all at the same time. Adding in gold elements help to warm up this dark color and pops of white with textures, like a good faux fur throw helps to soften up the whole look and add some femininity to this masculine color. Recreate this look at home with some of my favorites below.
