Perfect Examples Of Black Christmas Decor Done Right

Today’s post may have come about because I’m not really into decorating this year, or the holidays in general.  I’m not sure why I’m struggling this season, but I am. However, I did stumble on some ideas on Pinterest and they may have gotten me in the mood, a little.

After finding the above black and white Christmas scene, I became obsessed with the idea of doing black decor for Christmas. Now if I were to decorate (because I’m definitely not this year) I think I would definitely incorporate some of these black touches from today’s inspiration. From wrapping all your presents in black paper and adding colorful ribbon, or all black ornaments, black candles and black printed pillows. They all feel so festive without feeling gothic at all. I think the important thing to keep in mind is adding lots of metallic.  Also keeping to the traditional shapes and silhouettes and keeping things simple. Would you try this black Christmas decor trend?

Just adding some black ornaments to your usual metallics was a nice update. And the presents. Can we talk about doing all black wrapping paper? I like that this one is a little more on the charcoal side. Adorned with perfect gold bows, this is a monochromatic tree that I just love.

Who doesn’t love ombre? It’s been a trend we’ve seen a lot lately and this little tree is just so stylish I love it. Matching the ornaments to the ombre color is also such a smart idea. black and white christmas decor ideas, black and copper tablescape - My Style Vita @mystylevita

A black and copper tablescape is such a nice departure from kitschy red or green.  A more sophisticated color scheme that will also test the stand of time. As in, you can totally leave it up through New Years and no one will know the difference. I did this here with all metallics for Christmas and New Years and it worked perfectly. black and white christmas decor ideas, decorating with black for christmas - My Style Vita @mystylevita

Last but not least, a little entryway update that makes your whole home feel just festive enough. I have a bench in my office with a gallery wall and this is such a smart idea. Just swap out your everyday pillows with holiday themed ones and maybe update a photo or two. Voila, a perfectly festive but not overdone entryway.
