ASOS review from My Style Vita

It has been so long since I’ve shopped at ASOS. I feel like it’s one of those places I get one or two things from every year or so. But when I do get those pieces, I LOVE them. Insert this check print coat for winter. And clearly check print is my thing because this dress is also a new favorite find. I can’t take credit for this one though. I was truly #influenced.

Cathy of Poor Little It Girl shared her favorite ASOS finds on her blog and I legit bought almost all of them that she shared. Anyone else always buys ALL THE THINGS and then return oh, 99% of them? It’s annoying I know, but I am the type who has to try things on. And you just never know how things are going to look. Plus, malls suck these days. It’s just easier to online shop, right? And since there are no ASOS stores, I shall order all the things until they open one. Maybe one day there will be. Wouldn’t that be nice?

I rarely do well at ASOS but since I did find a few favorites, I had to share! This dress is part of the ASOS design collection and I have found I’m a consistent size 4 for the most part. It’s nice when you can finally find your size, right? But they carry tons of collections and brands so you may need to adjust, just keep in mind size charts and reviews! Here are a few summer pieces I’m loving eyeing right now.

& my favorite summer pieces

Midi Button Dress

No surprise here that a button front midi dress made the list! I love this bold red. Plus it comes in white! But I think the best part is the $35 price tag! Add a rope belt to zhush up this little number easily!

Plunge Grid Print Dress

Never not wanting more little white dresses. They’re ideal for summer and go with all my summer sandals! Loving this grid print and bow details on the straps.

Broderie Cami Midi Dress

Not usually one for such a bold color, but this one is TOO fun. Loving the details on this pretty little dress.

$119 Broderie Cami Dress

Wrap Top With Lace

When the temperature rises, I like to minimize my need for a bra and this top helps to justify that. Little nipple pasty and you are good to go! Love this with jean shorts or even white denim.

$45 Lace Wrap Top

Polkadot Cami Jumpsuit

The most playful jumpsuit. Perfect for the beach, or even with some nude high heels for dinner. I love when pieces are versatile!

Feel like trying it on is half the fun which is why I still prefer shopping at a mall but the malls suck now!

My only pet peeve (and it is Asos here, not you) is the grid print doesn’t line up at the seams — which is a sign of faster fashion/lower price points. It stops me from buying some items at lots of retailers. But Asos has some gems!

Definitely get what you pay for! I try to steer clear of fast fashion for the most part. But every so often it’s fun to have some new affordable items that feel trendy. Definitely not my entire closet!
