When I wash my face at night (guilty, I should do it more often) I make the BIGGEST mess. Seriously, I don’t know how they splash water in those beauty commercials on their face, but when I do it, it gets everywhere. Plus, I also use about 3 different products from start to finish. On the other hand, my lazy nighttime routine more often looks like me lying in bed realizing I forgot to take my makeup off and dreading going to the sink to make yet again, a big mess. Instead I grab a makeup wipe (which my aesthetician specifically told me to stop doing unless I’m washing my face right after) but I still do it. I then throw said makeup wipe on my nightstand and deal with it in the morning.
So when Olay asked me to try their new Olay Daily Facials Daily Clean 4-In-1Water Activated Cleansing Cloths, I knew this would be something I’d probably like. And turns out, I do. For starters, I didn’t make a giant mess like I usually do because this uses minimal water. You simply grab one of the cloths and then wet it with water. It instantly starts to foam up a bit and then it’s ready to use. No real need to sit there waiting for the water to get warm and then wet my face, and then grab my product, then massage it in, and so on and so on. You know exactly what I’m talking about. Instead, I wet the cloth, then begin to rub it into my skin to remove makeup, dirt, oil and my very stubborn waterproof eyeliner. These specially treated cloths have all the cleansing power and benefits I like to see in a proper nighttime ritual. It has the power of a scrub, toner mask and cleanser to gently exfoliate my skin and hydrate it all at the same time.
I rubbed the Olay Daily Facials cloth all over my face, scrubbed my eyeliner and mascara off (there was no burning of the eyes) and then rinsed my face. My face felt clean and hydrated. No need to use a moisturizer after. You can then follow up with your anti-aging serums if you like before hitting the hay. I have to say, for a lazy person at night, this is a really great way to get a good clean with minimal effort that also includes taking off all that makeup. You can try these Olay Daily Facials here.
