The Denim Guide

I think everyone really loves their favorite jeans. But me, I REALLY love my favorite jeans. I live in them from running to the grocery store to convincing myself they’re appropriate for a fancy event. I truly to do believe though that with the right wash, fit and styling, you can take a pair of jeans from one extreme to the next.

I firmly believe in investing in great jeans that fit well, are comfortable and that can work with your wardrobe for various occasions. My denim shopping tips include to find jeans that fit fairly snug. They always stretch out a bit after a few wears and since I recommend NOT drying them in a dryer, you’ll want to make sure you allow a little give. Hem your jeans after washing as this can easily effect the length (yes regardless of drying!).  Lastly, if you don’t want a perfect hem, I am all about taking matters into my own hands with a pair of scissors. A raw undone hem is actually my favorite.

All wardrobes should include a few staples as well, skinny jeans in a classic dark wash with no whiskering. These are great for dressing up for nicer events while not being overly dressy. A great pair of boyfriend or weekend jeans that you feel comfortable in. And a good trouser or bootleg, whichever you prefer. This is the foundation to the perfect denim collection.

Since I live in jeans from my go to skinny jeans, all the way to high waisted wide leg jeans and denim skirts, you can browse all the looks I’ve created featuring classic denim. Below you’ll also see some of my favorite styles as of late that I think are great additions to any wardrobe.
