You may remember a few weeks ago I shared some of my favorite primers for keeping my face of makeup on my actual face. One of the primers I discovered was an eyelash one. This had me ready to up my eyelash game. I don’t have insanely full lashes, but they’re not super sparse either. They’re pretty average. So there was definitely room for improvement. With my new primer in hand, I was determined to figure out how to get fuller lashes asap.
One of my favorite perks about being a blogger are all the beauty samples. I receive lots of makeup samples to try out from some of my favorite brands, and even little unknown ones too which is always fun. I’ll say the one thing I’m always on the hunt for is a good mascara. My eyes for whatever reason are sensitive to so many mascaras. They get itchy, dry and I can’t stand most of them. So this is one beauty product that I’m always on the hunt for to find the perfect one. Well you guys, I found it. It’s Burberry’s Cat Lashes mascara. I use the jet black color for a dramatic look but it also comes in a chestnut and a midnight blonde.
Here’s how I’m getting fuller and more bold lashes everyday.
A before of my lashes. You can see that I have dark lashes, but they’re not super long or curly. They’re also not insanely short thank goodness. But they can use some help for sure. Always room for improvement.
The power couple. My L’Oreal primer that I swear by now. A friend recommended it and said that every other brand pretty much does the same job, so go for the cheap one. No point in spending a ton of money on it. This paired with my Burberry Cat Lashes Mascara is my everyday combo. I do add in one step when I want to go the extra mile.
Insert the eyelash curler. The one piece in my makeup drawer that looks like a torture device, but its essential to getting curlier lashes.
Step 1. Without anything on your lashes, use an eyelash curler. Start fairly close to your lash line and hold down for a few seconds. Then move to the middle of the lashes, hold again. And repeat again towards the end of them. I like to try to do three sections if possible to get a serious curl.
Step 2. Add my go to primer. I put it all over my lashes, top and bottom. It’s white, so when you go to apply your mascara you can see all the spots you need to get. I also found that this helped me apply more mascara to my lashes. I was definitely missing lashes without this product.
Step 3. The good stuff. Apply Burberry Cat Lashes mascara on every lash you can. Load it up! I like to do two coats. Let it dry a bit in between, just a few seconds is really all you need. And repeat. I have another Burberry mascara, this one, but I swear this brush makes all the difference.
And don’t forget the bottom lashes! My bottom ones are actually quite long, so I just do a little or else it all ends up under my eyes. But adding a bit to the bottom outer edges helps to make my eyes look more dramatic and helps to emphasize my go to cat eye.
