You guys, have you seen the shit storm that is the #FyreFestival? If you’ve been living under a rock, I’m sorry you haven’t had the weekend to indulge in the epic failure and amazing meme’s of this failed event of epic proportions.  To catch you up to speed if you aren’t aware, an insanely luxurious music festival was supposed to happen on a private island in the Bahamas. It ended up being a site set up with disaster relief tents, minimal bedding if any, and bread and cheese for dinner. People were stranded, starved and had to fight for pillows and beds and also go on a wild goose hunt to find their suitcases. I can’t help but laugh so hard about it. I’m sure if you were in the thick of it, you hate me right now, but it’s sort of hilarious. No one got hurt, everyone has made it off the island, so it’s safe to laugh a little, right?

Here’s the real funny part, my girlfriend sent me a link to this festival back in December when it was announced. It looked AMAZING. I mean who wouldn’t want to spend $500 for 4 days on an island with pretty people listening to music and eating good food. Right? I get it. However, I was already planning on going to Coachella and two festivals back to back seemed stupid. Even one festival a year is enough for me.  Dodged a serious bullet, right?

So that brings me to today’s look. What I wore to Coachella one day to indulge in music, food and art. I survived thankfully unlike the lost millennials of #FyreFraud. Sorry, I had to. I have to also mention that these shorts are AMAZING. I have a really hard time finding shorts that fit me booty and thighs that don’t gape in the back. BLANK NYC is now my go to and they’re all under $100. I also picked up these distressed ones and these cut off ones. So happy to have some new denim shorts for summer that make me feel good!

Yeah I’ll never understand the dresses and high heels and all the layers. Give me shorts, top and comfy shoes.
