Anthropologie Champagne Flutes | Madewell Velvet Top | ORIBE Nail Polish In ‘The Red’

My last cocktail of 2016 and just in time for New Years Eve that’s right around the corner. I don’t know if you know this about me, but I hate NYE. It’s a mess of a night where you spend way too much money, get way too drunk and your whole next day is wasted in bed watching The Hangover on repeat while ordering pizza. Truth, I spent my NYE like that 2 years ago.

So this year I plan to head to my friend’s house and sit, relax, not get wasted, and most definitely not spend a ton of money. I was going to host at my place, but you know the whole 1 bedroom 1 bath thing wasn’t a big seller with my friends. So we opted to head to someone in the group who’s clearly an adult and has a house. One day….one day….

To still make a night at home feel special, I’ll be preparing this little cocktail to ring in the new year. It’s festive, easy and delicious. All I did was take a few cranberries and muddle them with a little sugar and rosemary sprig and toped each glass with the mixture. You can add a little champagne to the cocktail shaker to help get things moving along too. It’s super simple and a great way to spruce up cheap champagne. It also looks so festive with the cranberries topped (hint, freeze them ahead of time to help keep champagne cold) and a sprig of rosemary. There’s something about sipping on a cocktail with fresh herbs right on top that really make me happy.

Since we’re going to be laying low this year and (hopefully) not getting too rowdy, I’ll be wearing something simple, like jeans and this velvet top from Madewell

PS Anthropologie has the CUTEST barware ever. I’ve rounded up my favorites from more flutes to bar essentials and more.

Your pictures are so pretty. 🙂 I’m not the biggest fan of champagne, but maybe the cranberries + sugar would improve the flavor enough for me (I don’t hate it or anything). I hope your NYE is better than two years ago, haha!
