One of my favorite shows from New York Fashion Week was the Tadashi Shoji runway show. The runway was full of oriental inspired prints, bold colors (I was swooning over this blue dress) and the coolest strap details ever. I’m a sucker for a good unique strap. The models also rocked the worlds most perfect messy buns that I had TRÉSemme recreate for me the following day (you can see that here). I’m so glad I had the TRÉSemme girl teach me the ways because I think that may be my new go to hair style.
Since this show was at night, I was able to throw on a blazer to look a little more put together than most of my other outfits from this week. I love adding a great blazer to a simple look as it makes for a great outfit topper and instantly pulls your look together. I tried to do all black and white but threw in a few wild cards to round it out and this navy and white outfitA was one of them. Since I ended up being SUPER casual most of NYFW and have to say, it was nice to be comfortable, I also felt a little too casual at times. It was an overall mess of outfits in my opinion and must do better next season. I am the worlds WORST packer when it comes to trips like this. I do a great job when I don’t have to impress anyone, but when outfits are key and you’re at NYFW, I’m basically the worst.
And just a total side note, I rented a few bags for this week to switch up my usual favorites and this Zac Posen bag was one I loved so much I ended up buying it the same day I wore it. It’s currently on sale at Shopbop and is such a great size. It also has backpack straps so you can rock it a few different ways. I actually really loved doing bags this go around versus clothing. I feel like I’m always wearing the same 3 bags so it was nice to change it up a bit! I’ve also rounded up a few of my favorite bags from Zac Posen below!
