I was so excited when Janelle texted me that she’d be heading to NYC during fashion week. I love getting to work with her and hang out so this was so great to be able to capture my looks with my favorite photographer.  Last year between the awful weather, and my even more terrible outfits that I packed, I didn’t capture ANY looks.  So when we get met up to shoot the outfits I had planned for NYC, we headed to by Chloe, this cute vegan restaurant in Greenwich Village that just so happened to match my B&W look. I grabbed a cranberry ginger lemonade to cool off and it was to die for. I wish I was hungry because the food looked incredible.

Sure I wish this was a little more of a glamorous look, but let me tell ya, I was so stoked to be COMFORTABLE. The sweat factor is a whole other thing that was a constant struggle while in the city (hello 95 and TONS of humidity), but the comfort was just right.  While packing for NYC I tried to stick to mostly black and white this go around. I thought it would be the easiest way to pack shoes and accessories. Plus I just wasn’t feeling like much color for some reason and before I knew it most of the things I was grabbing were black or white, so I ran with it.  The nice thing about this whole look is that it was easy to go from day to night in. I just swapped out my Adidas for these Express heels. Done! I love a versatile outfit with just the simple swap of a shoe.

Stay tuned for more NYFW looks and a big recap of the whole week. You can also see more photos over on Instagram (that’s username, MYSTYLEVITA)! You can also easily shop my looks on Instagram right here without signing up for emails!

Love this windowpane skirt! That is one of my favourite patterns right now. Being comfortable is definitely the best option, walking and heels just don’t go together!

that windowpane print skirt is SO GOOD. I have a dress in the same print and almost always receive compliments….looks like I may have to add the skirt to my collection.

This past weekend was MISERABLE in the city, so I’m glad you wore a weather-appropriate look 😉 I’ve yet to try by Chloe, but they just added a new location near me, so I have to check it out!

OMG it was SO freaking hot I was so so miserable. I was not prepared for it at all. Plus, the second I left it cooled off. So annoyed! I need a September NYFW redo!
