A roundup of my favorite Instagram snaps while in Charleston

I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to visit Charleston many times over the last two years and this last visit was definitely one I’ll remember. I headed to my favorite southern city, as I like to call it, for a friends wedding and a little relaxation. I’m sharing a few of my favorite Instagram snaps I took while there. If you aren’t following along, be sure to do so! You’ll also have to let me know what you think of these Instagram roundups as they’re a new series and hopefully a fun way to see some photos you may have missed over on Instagram!

The thing I love most about Charleston are the colorful charming homes with gorgeous flower boxes in the windows. It’s the prettiest sight to see and makes you instantly happy.  There really is a major charm factor to this city and these pastel colored houses play a major role in their signature charming characteristics.

Thanks to The Blog Societies I’ve been able to visit this city quite a bit, but this last trip was a more personal one. I was there to see my friend Kristin of Living In Color Print get hitched. It was such a gorgeous wedding and I cried my eyes out (yes you read that right, I have emotions!). It was also nice to get to see some blog friends there as well like Christina of Oh So Glam and Bethany of B Soup.

Since the wedding was formal, I decided to do Rent The Runway and chose this coral color Laundry by Shelli Segal dress. It fit perfectly (with the help of some Spanx of course) and was super comfortable to move around in all night long.

It’s a breakfast in bed kind of morning. This brûlée grapefruit is to die for. #MSVtravels #charleston #breakfast

Typically when I visit Charleston, Cathy and I are usually together and it’s for The Blog Societies event. This means we’ve only stayed at Belmond Charleston Place the last 4 times we’ve visited. This time around, I decided to stay somewhere new and ended up at The Spectator Hotel. It was a stunning property and their complimentary in room dining continental breakfast made mornings very luxurious. You can see my full review on the hotel from earlier this week here. After the wedding, Dan of Real Guys Wear Ties and Naty of A Love Affair With Fashion and I headed out for a day of exploring. We visited The Watches for rooftop cocktails, strolled the colorful streets of Charleston and ate at one of my all time favorite restaurants, 167 RAW.

This look has also become my go to outfit for exploring. I wore this exact same outfit while in Duck, NC this week (see Exhibit A during our #BloggersDoOBX trip). This dress is super comfy, these Steve Madden sandals don’t hurt, and my boat hat is surprisingly becoming a favorite accessory. I think I need to invest in a few more dresses like this as the silhouette fits me well and it can easily be dressed up or down.
