One thing Cathy and I fail to do every single time we visit Charleston for The Blog Societies planning, is actually leaving the hotel to explore the city. We’ve been there maybe four or five times now and I couldn’t tell you what Rainbow Row is like or where the big pineapple fountain is. It’s sad really, because I love this city and the spots we have visited over and over again (I’m looking at you The Ordinary). So this past visit we made it a point to explore and even got ourselves a set of bikes to do it the way Charleston folks do. We headed to the fountain, Rainbow Row, went to new restaurants like Cru and 167 RAW. It was hands down our most productive trip in terms of #TBScon and playing tourists.

One thing I’ve been on the hunt for to add to my closet is a great cross body perfect for days like this. I don’t need to lug around a huge bag when I’m out and about in a city. I found this black one from Zara for less than $50 and have been getting a ton of use out of it. It was the perfect accessory to complete my standard casual look.

I fell in love with your outfit Jess ! I love your Buffalo plaid shirt tied around your waist, adds a lot and anything tied around the waist looks amazing ! How did you tie ? First you did button down the shirt a little bit, folded in 1/2 and you wrap face in or out ? making double knots. Do you have more outfits wearing a shirt tied around your waist ? Have you tried to wear a black leggings with medium black heels , black tee, with a soft grey skinny cardigan (like…Gap,Old Navy, or Guess) all button down to make smaller, folded in 1/2 to fit perfect in your body part out to show the buttons and tie around above your waist with double tight knots .? What do you think? Have you done B4 ? I think looks super elegant and casual at the same time and so amazing !
