I had big hopes and dreams for my trip to NYC with Poor Little It Girl a couple weeks ago. You see, we had lots of amazing meetings planned with some of our favorite brands for the big Southern & Southwest Blog Society event this coming summer.  And then Juno hit. And the city, I mean the entire city, basically closed down. So instead of getting cute and having drinks with friends, I wore this winter layered outfit for 3 days straight. Good news is, I now know how to dress for freezing cold temperatures and these Hunter boots are actually INSANELY comfortable to walk around the city in all day long. Coming up with winter outfit ideas has definitely not been my strong suit, but this casual look is perfection!

A new addition to my winter wardrobe though has been a beanie. I snapped these photos right before Juno hit and before Cathy arrived. Once the blizzard began I totally snagged a beanie from Cathy’s suitcase to stay warm. I can’t believe I ever lived a life without this winter accessory!

And in case you’re curious, things actually are going AMAZING for the planning of the 3rd annual event. Can’t wait to meet some of our newest members from Southwest! Be sure to apply to join today!
