The Local Scoop | New Color

This day was one hell of a busy day.  Luckily I had an appointment with my old high school friend and go to hair colorist Alexandra at Lola Ricci Salon on the Westside. I knew I’d be able to relax when I walked in and she handed me a glass of wine. Win.  I was originally planning on getting my usual gloss, semi permanent, Kim K wannabe color. I do it every so often for a little something new and to help give me some shine. You’d barely notice. Which was probably why I was over that idea as soon as I walked in the door. You see, I was watching the Women Tell All episode (you know, the Bachelor thing everyone is obsessed with including yours truly) and Catherine had not only cut bangs (hello!) but also added some perfect subtle highlights. I knew I wanted to replicate this look and quickly sent Alexandra a photo and she said, “done”. I like that kind of decision making.
So off I went for highlights for the first time in God knows how many years. At least 3.  Sometimes you need a little change and this was exactly what I needed. Nice and subtle and I think we’ll add even more next time.
If you live in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend checking out Alexandra at Lola Ricci. She specializes in color, don’t even ask for a cut, she wouldn’t even trim my bangs. That sort of her thing though, she’s the color expert.

Alex has the most adorable business cards and of course, would we expect anything else but leopard clips from this gal? Always something leopard with her.
best atlanta hair colorist,
After browsing lots of inspiration photos on her iPad, we finally decided on Bachelorette, Catherine Lowe’s new ‘do (you remember, the ones who were “saving” themselves for the honey moon and it was all Chris Harrison could talk about? #awkward).
