Introvert vs Extrovert

I saw someone on Facebook post something on traits of extroverts. I was cringing while I read it, that’s how much of an introvert I am.After reading it I knew there had to be a list of traits on Buzzfeed of introverts. They couldn’t possibly leave us out? Could they? They didn’t. This list pretty much nailed it for me. I never considered myself an introvert until I realized I hated hanging out with my exes friends, not because I hated his friends, but because I was an introvert and just wanted to sit at home.
From resting bitch face, to bringing a book to ward off people to panicking when you’re friend wants to stay at a party longer, this really sums me up to a tee.  I can’t tell you how many times people would ask me at my old cocktailing job “what’s wrong? smile!” no just shut up and leave me alone, I’m working. Or when I bring my book to Starbucks on my lunch break and someone wants to talk to me about my book. I’m reading, leave me alone. Or when my BFF wants to party until 3 am and I just want to go home and sit on my couch and go to bed; because partying until 3 am means a 2 day social hangover for me.  I thought I was alone, but after posting on FB turns out many of the people I admire are introverts as well.  I no longer feel alone, although, I wouldn’t mind being alone…
So I wanna know, are you an introvert or an extrovert?

I’m a textbook introvert. I try to be the extrovert and sometimes I can pull it off and even forget I’m not naturally extroverted but eventually I realize I so need my alone time, even when I forgot that I did. So introverted it’s ridiculous.

People can be both. People do have some extrovert and introvert traits in them. So not everyone is a complete introvert. Just some people can relate to one more than the other.

I’m an introvert as well. I need to recharge all the time. First I felt weird when I would be at outings and I felt totally tired after getting home. But now I know that sometimes I have to recharge myself by being alone after an outing.

And I totally hate when people tell me “Are you ok?” Of course I’m okay! I just want to be alone in my little head. lol.

And I hate when people ask me to call them. Can’t I just text you? I’m better at that.

The life of introverts. I love it.
